Adventures in sustainable entrepreneurship

After a long career in consumer products and technology management and consulting (as well as  teaching MBAs  and a book on innovation),  I started to wonder why I wasn’t applying my energy and lessons learned to a better use.  So a few years ago, I  decided that I decided to see if I could use my professional time and skills to create social change. I joined the board of a local wildlife center and children’s museum. I spent two years as COO of TransFairUSA, reworking and restaffing this high profile NGO for growth, and re-casting “Fair Trade” in the United States as a mainstream movement.  Finally, in the fall of 2008 I left Transfair to start a hybrid social venture (ClimatePath) to address the need for more immediate action on greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.

ClimatepathClimatePath and the partner NGO ClimatePath Ecologic Fund are just launching, and I look forward to sharing the experience. For now, consulting, writing, and teaching are taking a backseat, except for the articles and blog on sustainability that are part of the conversation about addressing our warming planet. Checkout out ClimatePath, reduce your footprint, and live life in balance.
